 Great basic Greenpower strip (from 2010-06-25)


I bought this for my Entertainment center, and it works exactly as advertised. I have some vintage gear that has old power switches with no remotes, and this device lets me use my TV to control their power perfectly. For anyone that wants a basic greenpower device without spending lots like some of the other devices available, this is a perfect one. The flat wall plug is a nice touch, since you can see the outlet in my living room to the side of the entertainment center. I appreciate the ability of the surge stage to auto-disconnect all power (instead of a one-time sacrificial stage that allows power to continue through after it's been fried) so that if the power surges several times (say, in a lightning storm) the strip will not continue to take surge after surge.

I could care less who brands this (HP, Monster, whoever..) but I am slightly concerned that I saw an identically packaged device at my local drugstore from a generic brand. I really wonder in the end who designed this product, but am not concerned because the warranty is the same either way!

I really like this product because it simplifies saving energy. I hooked it up to my desktop computer and accessories. The great thing about it is that when my computer shuts down or goes into sleep mode, the Power Center automatically shuts off the power being supplied to my printer, speakers, modem, etc. It only takes the press of one button, and I don't have to remember to turn everything off individually. This could really save a lot of money in the long run. Who knew being green could be so easy?

I also like the fact that this doubles as a surge protector. I feel a lot more comfortable knowing that not only my computer equipment, but also my pictures, music, and other files are being protected.

I would love to see more designs like this one. This product is perfectly made. Surge protection, unprecedented equipment warranty, and energy conservation. I hooked this up to my computer and it works perfectly. I click to shut down my computer and everything else shuts down as well. It really cleaned up the looks and cord mess under my desk and I no longer have to remember to turn off everything individually. The Powercenter also comes with tape stickers to mark your cords so you no longer have to trace them back to figure out what goes to what. Its all very simple. I can see this product becoming a must for every home.

 Another Great Product from Monster and HP (from 2010-05-29)


I really like this product and I like the way it works. I do wish it had one more port on it because I have 7 computer devices and this has 6 slots. It's nice knowing I can run my modem through it along with the phone lines, because you can have a surge travel through your phone lines. I like how it conserves power and protects at the same time. The labels are really nice such a simple idea but I really benefitted from it. The best part about it though is the warranty, it will cover up to 150,000 dollars worth of equipment plugged into it and for me this is a must. If your like me you spend a lot of money on your computer and accessories so it's nice to know that they will be protected.

I would just like to warn people that this is not made for a notebook computer. I plugged mine into it and it worked fine but it is not recommended.

INTELLIGENT PRODUCT...MORE SPACES FOR LARGER PLUGS WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE...ONCE MAIN CPU TURNED OF ALL THE PRODUCTS CONNECTED SHUT DOWN AS STATED BY THE OPERATIONS MANUAL WHICH WAS A PLUS...SAVES DRASTICALLY ON ELECTRICAL USAGE AND HEAT BEING GIVEN OFF FROM COMPUTER COMPONENTS..
